Studio

20002

Washignton, DC is a tremendous city with many creative opportunities, however, tragicly, there is a limited ammount of studio space out there. We have attempted to post a few links to help you find space. Please do feel free to check with us, however our space is limited, and often full. Please take a look at our link list here on the artdc.com home page, or on artdc.org’s list of existing studios in the area for more info here . If you know of other group studios that we haven’t listed, please let us know. If you’re on the list, please do send us images of your space, we’d love to post about them.

The Hyattsville, MD space is modeled after the art gym concept.  The studio is a space behind the artdc in Hyattsville gallery.  Multiple artists share the same space to offset the costs of an amazing facility.  Often many artists are left out of using a studio outside of their home due to the expensive nature of running a studio, therefore, when multiple artists work together to share a single space it allows for a more cost effective solution.  This is a not a traditional studio, and we like to look at it as thinking outside of the box.  There is a great deal of synergy between the gallery and the studio.  Both projects bring constructive energy and traffic to each respective space.  Studio members are invited to hang work in the studio and curate studio shows with in the studio space.
