It tracks with Picasso's musing that "Every child is an artist; the problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." On the island of Bali, everyone does some kind of art (or perhaps high craft). The whole freaking "Artist's Way" phenom is based around dealing with your inner censors and getting the courage to do your art. The flame burns brighter for some people but maybe its just about having something to express and being brave and/or self-centered enough to get it out. Pinning the pieces to the wall made the work look more raw and unfinished. It was a great idea! Steve and Bill Pabst got a lot of compliments on their collaborative effort--a grandfather clock stained a gorgeous shad of cherry, with mother boards in its gut. This piece was obviously not capable of being pinned to the wall. :) Grayson's music was superb! I recommend going to see him perform live in the future. The show was excellent!!
