We’ve made great progress with the 12×12 show at the artdc gallery in Hyattsville. We invited artists to hang works limited only by size and price. All works were 12″x12″ or smaller and each work under $250.00US. We had 140 works of art in the gallery. The show is a great success so far. We opened on the 16th, the same day as the Hyattsville Arts Festival. There was an amazing turn out of art lovers. EYA counted over 1,000 visitors. We sold 19 works of art on that day, and that really leaves us with a warm feeling for the community and DC art buying scene. The success of this event really brings us closer to the idea that here are people who want to buy affordable art, and support our efforts, even in the current rough ecconomy.
